Yes, you heard it right. Essential oils have been proven to work wonders for hair and skin, however, here are 3 essential oils that can help you lose weight too.
1. Grape Seed essential oil:
Grape seed oil has been used in aromatherapy since ages and turns out, it is also a powerful ingredient for weight loss. Nootkatone, an essential compound found in grapeseed essential oil is known to stimulates your energy, metabolism and prevent diet-induced obesity, according to studies. It helps your body burn fat sooner and tone your body too [1].
How to include it in your diet:
You can include grapeseed oil that has ‘food grade’ on its label it in your diet as you like it. Preferably, you can add it to your tea or use it as a salad dressing.
2. Cinnamon essential oil:
If you are struggling to stick to your diet or are unable to control your food cravings cinnamon essential oil is your saviour. Cinnamon essential oil is known to control blood sugar levels and your sugar or junk food cravings too. It prevents you from overeating, as its fragrance is known to suppress hunger [2].
How to include it in your diet:
Just add a few drops to your oats or smoothies and your cravings are suppressed for the day. You can also add it to a glass of honey and warm water.
3. Peppermint essential oil:
Like cinnamon essential oil even peppermint oil is known to suppress your appetite and prevent you from overeating. However, if you look fat because of bloating, peppermint oil is proven to reduce bloating too. Also, its aromatic benefits are immense. It can help you prepare mentally for workout as its peppermint fragrance is known to make you feel energized, clear your mind, improve your focus and help you perform better at the gym [3].

Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil in your tea or in warm water and have it right before your meal to suppress your hunger.
