Les Sins and AceMo Join Forces on New Glitchy Track “C’mon Les’Go” — Toro Y Moi

Les Sins (also known as Toro y Moi) and AceMo have released a new collaborative EP, C’mon Les’Go. The five-track EP was released via AceMo’s newly launched record label, Sonic Messengers, and Toro’s Company Records. Company Records announced the new tracks via their Instagram account upon the EP’s release date.

“LES SINS is back,” Company Records said in an Instagram post. “New Music with @ACEMO OUT NOW!!!! we ain’t messing around here. Out now on all platforms.”

Each track lends its own sort of experimental sound, blending chaotic sounds and underground club beats. Mixing house and techno, each track brings feelings of late-night dance clubs and warehouse movements.

“C’mon Les’ Go” begins the EP with quick drum beats and deep vocals, the song tittering on the edge of a build up to create enthusiasm for listeners, who are waiting to find out what they should expect from the EP. The synths create an exciting feeling, anticipation coating the track.

“Can’t Take It Anymore” throws listeners into warehouse club movements, its trance-like beat hypnotizing listeners. With vocals reminiscent of older-style house, the track flows throughout its wavy length.

“Holy Cow” brings in a slight chaos to some of its sound, with quick drums creating an anxious feeling and clock-like sounds, while synthetic buzzes and softer drums try to seek out relaxation. The eclectic sounds blend together in a unique way, finding harmony within one another while each creating odd feelings.

“Music” returns to the quick warehouse beats, the song launching listeners into another realm of experimentation. The track’s quick succession of sounds flow through, raising listeners high and low as the beat urges for them to begin bumping and swaying.

The final track of the EP, “Hello?” blends together the sounds and feelings found in each of the previous songs and finds its place in the EP’s alternate realm. Deep synths bump through, with higher ones screeching down and creating a falling sensation. The eclectic track alternates between the different feelings created within the C’mon Les’Go,

As Toro y Moi, Les Sins has recently released a cover of Joe Bataan’s “Ordinary Guy,” the release coming as part of Bandcamp’s initiative for Juneteenth. Toro y Moi also teamed up with Flume for the “The Difference” back in March. Last year, Toro y Moi joined Washed Out and Empress Of to collaborate with Algorithm Endel for an AI-infused project.
