Kansas football: Les Miles lands highest ranked recruit in program history, Quaydarius Davis - Through the Phog
Four-star wide receiver Quaydarius Davis announced his intention to become a Jayhawk, becoming KU’s highest ranked recruit in program history.
The new year has started off with a bang for Kansas football, as four-star wide receiver Quaydarius Davis has announced his commitment to the program.
Davis, a receiver out of Dallas, Texas, is ranked as the No. 36 player in the country according to Rivals.com. He cannot sign his national letter of intent until February 3, but when he does, he will become KU’s highest rated recruit in program history.
Davis picked KU over offers from some of college football’s elite programs, including Alabama, Florida, LSU, USC, and several others.
This announcement is a game-changing type of commitment for Kansas football that will certainly turn heads across the country and could help gain the attention of other recruits and transfers who have KU on their radars.
The program has struggled with their veteran talent departing the program in recent changes to the transfer portal, something that will likely plague the program in the future. Nevertheless, this is an excellent gain for both the university and the program.
Securing highly decorated recruits is a rare sight at Kansas these days and it’s refreshing to see a talented player take interest in what head coach Les Miles is trying to build at KU.
It will be a long month as KU awaits his signature finalizing his commitment, but for now this is something that staff and fans can proudly celebrate.
