Les Brers performs Allman Brothers tribute for Unity Hall virtual series - Rome Sentinel

BARNEVELD — Unity Hall will once again welcome the Allman Brothers tribute band, ”Les Brers,” performing in its popular 2020 Virtual Concert series at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26.

The free Les Brers concert will will be viewable at www.unityhall.com and remain viewable throughout the following week. Les Brers will perform acoustically.

The band will recreate not just the music, but the spirit of an Allman Brothers show. The tight-knit group is especially in tune with the Allmans because they, too, are built around a fraternal core of musicians. Before Les Brers, three brothers Al, Dan and Mark Sisti, were original members of the legendary Justice McBride Band.

On Sept. 26, Les Brers will pay homage to the Allman’s break-out album, “Live At The Fillmore East,” but their repertoire reflects the entire Allman Brothers canon.

Musicians for the Les Brers performance will include: Mark Sisti – guitar, vocals; Dan Sisti – guitar, vocals; Al Sisti – bass guitar, vocals; Joe Malecki – guitar, keyboards, vocals; Rick Gerken – keyboards, vocals; and Gene Voce – drums, percussion.

Unity Hall’s Virtual Concerts are free and each musician is compensated for their performance from money raised by Unity Hall. Online audience members are also encouraged to make donations through Unity Hall’s “virtual tip jar,” where proceeds go to each week’s performers.

The event is sponsored by the Unity Hall Foundation, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1995 to maintain the 1896 hall as a center for the arts and community activities.
