Les Fireflies featured in livestreamed Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series - The Journal Pioneer
The fourth show of the Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series, presented by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC), will take place on Sunday, July 26, 7 p.m., featuring Les Fireflies.
This group is comprised of three fiddlers, multi-instrumentalists and singer/songwriters from New Brunswick. Samantha Robichaud, Louise Vautour and Christine Melanson, who have performed all over the world with individual solo careers, have decided to collaborate to form a fiddling power group. They perform old-time, Acadian and Celtic music.
This free Les Fireflies show will be streamed live from the Facebook page, www.facebook.com/CDCPMC.
Every week until Aug. 30, a free live show will take place on Sundays at 7 p.m. The remaining artists being featured are Josiane and Jacques Comeau (Aug. 2), Cynthia MacLeod (Aug. 9), Peggy Clinton and Johnny Ross (Aug. 16), Caroline Bernard and Rémi Arsenault (Aug. 23) and Meaghan Blanchard (Aug. 30).
