“I’m here in New York to show off the brand new Reebok/UFC fight kits,” Van Zant says, “so obviously I’m traveling, I’m on the road a lot—and I’m going to show you what I do for my hotel room workouts.”
The premise is simple: your ten favorite workouts, ten times, for ten rounds. It’s 100 reps, no equipment required.
Van Zant herself starts off with some step-ups, right onto the hotel room sofa. “You’re going to be doing your step-ups, but as fast as you can,” she says. Let the sweat begin.
Next, Van Zant wants to hit her core, so while she implores you to do your favorite core move, she’s all about this oblique-blaster. “Just get down and do your favorite core workout,” she says. “My favorite core workout is Russian twists. Hands up, and touch each side as I twist.”
Third, do ten reps of push-ups. No space? No problem. “If you’re in a small space and you don’t have somewhere to lay down and do push-ups, you can always do them on the corner of your bed or your couch,” Van Zant says.
Ten of your favorite moves, ten reps, 100 total. Who needs a gym in a hotel?
